FAQ(5)

Are passwords stored or sent?

No. Generation is local. Copy the password into your own password manager; this page does not save previous results.

How long should a password be?

Prefer 16+ characters with mixed character classes for general accounts. Follow your organization’s policy when one exists.

Why exclude ambiguous characters?

Avoid O/0 and l/1 confusion when typing passwords from screenshots or printouts.

Is the randomness secure?

When available, the tool uses window.crypto.getRandomValues (browser CSPRNG). Do not use Math.random for secrets.

Can I regenerate quickly?

Yes—run again for a new password. Prior values are not stored on our servers (there is no server-side vault).
