Privacy note
Tool inputs are processed in your browser only. Theme, language and favorites may use localStorage; hosting may keep standard access logs (IP, UA, URL) without tool payloads.

Which regex flavor is used?
JavaScript RegExp—same as in browsers and Node.
Are matches computed on a server?
No. Testing runs locally.
Why does my pattern throw an error?
Invalid syntax (unclosed groups, bad escapes). Fix the pattern or escape special characters.
Can I use capture groups in replace?
In JS replace, $1, $2 refer to groups—test match behavior here first.
Multiline and dotall?
Use flags (m, s where supported) to control line anchors and dot behavior.
