자주 묻는 질문(5)

Which algorithms can I sign with?

HS256, HS384 and HS512 via Web Crypto HMAC, as offered on the page. Asymmetric RS* signing is not the focus of this tool.

Is the secret uploaded?

No. Signing stays in your browser. Still avoid pasting production secrets on shared machines or recordings. LocalKit processes this in your browser on www.908885.com—input is not uploaded to our servers for computation.

Can it do RS256?

Not in this tool—use HS* here. For RSA key material experiments see RSA Keygen; for inspecting tokens use JWT Decoder.

Does it verify tokens?

No. This page only signs. Use JWT Decoder to inspect header/payload without treating the token as trusted.

What about the typ header?

Optional typ: JWT is included when the checkbox is on. Keep header claims minimal and aligned with your verifier’s expectations.
